Sydney | East Lake Class of 2014

Meet Sydney who is a Class of 2014 senior from East Lake High School…

IN HER OWN WORDS:

“I chose Theresa Marie because I saw her work online through some other friends and absolutely fell in love with her work. I had heard that she was so easy to get along with and genuinely cared about her clients.

I could not have asked for a better experience with Theresa Marie! From the second she called me on the phone even still after my session was over, every time you talk to her you can tell she cares about you. It isn’t just her job, it is what she loves to do and it definitely shows that through her work. Having a not so great experience with senior pictures before I found Theresa Marie, finding her was a miracle. She doesn’t just do her job because she has to, she does it because she loves to. She makes you feel so comfortable and is always making you laugh and have a great time.

Oh my gosh! Just with the sneak peek I knew my pictures were going to be amazing. My photos were everything I could have dreamed of and more! Everything was perfect!

You will have an amazing time with Theresa Marie. She doesn’t just take pictures to take pictures. She takes pictures because that’s what she loves to do. She actually cares about all her clients and doesn’t just blow them off. She will make anyone’s dream about their senior pictures come true.

Thank you for making my senior picture experience everything I could have asked for and more!”

Alexa | Palm Harbor University Class of 2014

Please meet Alexa who is a graduating senior from Palm Harbor University High School…

IN HER OWN WORDS:
“I was a bit hesitant to get my pictures taken because I never really liked being in front of the camera. However, my mom found Theresa Marie online while searching for photographers and we both liked not only the quality of the pictures we saw on her website, but how friendly Theresa was.

My experience with Theresa Marie was great. I loved the variety of outfits and locations that I was able to do with her, it really helped me get comfortable taking pictures. I have to say my favorite part about the shoot was when we were near the pink flowers in downtown Palm Harbor. Theresa really knows the best places to get pictures taken!

I was absolutely amazed when I saw my images! I loved everything about them – the poses the locations etc. It was truly amazing to see them. Theresa Marie really puts emphasis on the senior during the experience. She got to know who I am and what I was comfortable with. That made the pictures even more personal and special.”

my DREAM job would be:
A teacher. And I don’t mean that in the typical, school education sense. I mean it in a way that I want to be able to teach anybody of any age skills and knowledge that will truly help them later in life. This is why I want to be a speech therapist.

if I inherited a million bucks today, I would:
Use the money to pay off family debts and for college funds. I would save some of it for later life and for my children. Hmm, charity (specifically for food, health, and education), travel. I would want to get exotic food, and use the money for living purposes.

my favorite place to shop is:
Forever 21 and Staples (I’m crazy over supply stores I’m not really sure why)

my favorite snack foods are:
Popcorn and fruit.

something I have too much of:
Blankets/pillows/stuffed animals. I will always want more comfort.

TV show I’m currently addicted to:
Teen Wolf and The Vampire Diaries

a movie that makes me happy:
We’re the Miller’s

a movie that makes me cry:
I cry soo much – just at anything lol. I’ve cried at movies such as Ghost, Divergent, The Hunger Games, Rent (this one was the worst I think), What’s Eating Gilbert Grape. I even sob watching Teen Wolf. So idk I’m just really emotional with everything.

my favorite color is:
ahhh this is hard. I’m sorry I can’t pick just one. My favorite pallet is a light blue, blush pink, and a pale gray.

one thing I couldnt live without:
My blanket. It’s green and white crochet. I’ve had it since I was two. Over the years it’s split and so now I have about 4 or 5 different parts to it. 1 part I gave to my boyfriend. My blanket always comforts me. I like to rub my fingers on it, especially in the morning. It’s kind of like my contact comfort.

my favorite book or magazine:
Books: The Curable Romantic, The Harry Potter Series, The Hunger Games, Kafka on the Shore, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.
Magazines: Psychology Today, The Scientific American, National Geographic

my favorite high school memory is:
Going to Coastline Festival, an indie music concert series in Tampa. I was with a few good, but not necessarily really close, friends, but there I felt really free and happy experiencing music that got me through my first two years of high school. During that time I was fighting with my boyfriend, and although I love being with him, I just will always remember the immense joy I felt at being away from it all and surrounded by the exciting live music of Passion Pit and Matt and Kim. I’ve been to many concerts but that was by far my most favorite and really the only one I truly danced to.

What would be the THEME SONG to your life?

Katarina | St. Petersburg Catholic Class of 2014

Meet Katarina who will be graduating with the 2014 Senior Class at St. Petersburg Catholic High School in St. Pete…

“My family and I were a little hesitant about finding a photographer for my senior pictures; would the process be awkward and uncomfortable? Would the images look detached and impersonal or would my personality shine through in the images? But, after coming across Theresa Marie’s work online, I knew right then I HAD to have her do my senior pictures. Her use of natural light was captivating, the colors in the images were rich but not overly saturated, and, most importantly, all of the subjects in the photos looked genuinely happy, not starchy or detached like typical senior pictures.

My experience with Theresa Marie was, in short, wonderful. She has such a wonderful way with teenagers; I felt totally comfortable the whole time! We joked back and forth and talked about TV shows we liked, definitely not your typical detached photographer. Theresa is not only a talented photographer but also a personable and accommodating one.

What was most striking to me was not when I saw my images but when my mother saw them; she started sobbing right at the table! It was a really bonding moment for us to share. When I saw the images I was, of course, elated; I looked natural and happy and Theresa helped to bring that out in not only the photographs but me as well.

I would definitely recommend Theresa Marie to other seniors and parents. She is friendly, cheerful, and has amazing eye for capturing moments of genuine happiness and personality.

On a personal note, I can’t say thank you enough, Theresa Marie! I truly had a wonderful time and was so amazed by the images; I’d never before seen myself looking so mature, genuine, and pretty. You have a true talent and are amazing at what you do, thank you again!! :)”

My mother because she works so incredibly hard on a daily basis; she is the most compassionate, positive, good natured person I have ever met. My father because he has devoted his life to working so hard to provide the best he possibly can for his family; I admire his resilience, realistic perspective, and faith he has in me. My grandparents for coming to Canada from Serbia in hopes of providing a better quality of life for their children.

Erin | Senior Class of 2013

Meet Erin…

“My senior photo shoot experience with ‘Theresa Marie’ was incredible! I had so much fun preparing for the shoot as well as during the shoot. Theresa Marie made me feel so comfortable in front of the camera and made it easier for me to be myself in front of the camera.

Before the shoot, I was so excited but nervous at the same time because the weather was starting to get colder and I had no idea what to wear or how to do my hair but once I figured that out I just felt excited! During the shoot I had so much fun and that is what I wanted because I wanted my photos to show my personality and spirit and Theresa Marie captured that. Especially in the candid shots where I am laughing at something or she told a classic joke or she tried to get me to loosen up and have fun.

I chose ‘Theresa Marie’ because my sister did her senior photos through her and her photos came out fantastic and all she could do when she came back from her shoot was rave about what a great time she had. That is exactly what I did too! I raved about my experience and basically fan-girled over the photos when I saw them. Other seniors should choose ‘Theresa Marie’ because she makes you feel like you are out for a night out on the town and you just happen to be getting your photo taken in the process. Any senior, boy or girl, will have so much fun during the shoot and will remember the memories of it in even more detail because you will have candid photos of it.”
